A well-established professional services firm is seeking an Audit & Accounts Manager to join its audit and accounts team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a varied client portfolio while overseeing the delivery of audit and accounts engagements. The position combines technical oversight, client management, and team leadership within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee audit and accounts engagements from start to completion
* Review statutory accounts and audit files, ensuring compliance with professional standards
* Work closely with senior leadership to identify opportunities to add value to clients
* Act as a key point of contact for clients, building long-term professional relationships
* Develop a strong understanding of clients’ businesses to provide practical insight and advice
* Lead, support, and develop junior and senior team members
* Monitor workflow to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
Candidate Profile:
* ACA or ACCA qualified
* Previous experience in an Audit & Accounts Manager or similar role within practice
* Strong technical knowledge of audit and accounts for SME and owner-managed clients
* Confident leader with experience managing and developing teams
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Experience with accounting and audit systems (software experience advantageous)
