About Us
McMichaels are a family run TV, Audio and Home Appliance retail business based in Alloa. Having been trading for over 115 years we have a large customer base throughout Central Scotland to where we regularly deliver and install the latest home technology from smart audio systems to 100" televisions; to wi-fi connected smart home appliances.
We are looking for a technology loving individual to join our delivery and installation team.
About the Role
Your day will start at our Alloa store where you will collect your job schedule and load-up the van with the necessary stock for the installations, deliveries, and customer support calls you have planned for that day. You will use your knowledge and expertise to a provide a high standard, customer friendly service.
The typical types of work you will be doing:
* Delivery of products
* Install TVs & Home Audio equipment
* Wall mounting TVs
* Install Washing Machine & Dishwashers
* Installation of integrated home appliances
* Daily liaison with the installation administrator
* Provide the administrator regular updates on job completion, progress, issues or follow-up action required.
Key Skills
* Have an active interest in home technology such as TV, Hifi, Computers, basic networking and Wifi.
* Have general DIY Skills such as basic joinery, basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
* Manual handling of home appliances and large screen TVs.
* Problem Solving/ Solution finding.
* Full Driving licence with at least 3 years of driving experience
* Good communication skills and team worker.
Industry Experience
Previous experience in this industry is not required for this roll, but if should you have existing experience please reach out and we may be able to discuss other job opportunities.
Training
We don't expect everyone to have all the skills or be an expert in everything that we do so we will provide both inhouse and outsourced training, as may be required, to help you build up your skill set.
Hours & Salary
Working hours 09:00 - 17:00
Working Days Monday - Friday
Salary £ £30000 depending on knowledge and experience
