Role
This is a key role responsible for the technical performance of existing solutions, and ongoing management and delivery of the technology roadmap of the Reliance Protect and Reliance Technology Care Solutions businesses.
This role will own the new product development process ensuring the delivery of innovative products that meet customer needs and align with the company strategy.
This is both a strategic and operational hands-on role working with internal resources and external organisations, with the opportunity to play a big part in growing 2 exciting brands.
Your Responsibilities
This role will have:
* Responsibility for the technical performance and quality of our solutions (hardware, software, apps), working closely with the wider company Dev Team on internal developed software and apps.
* Ownership of the technology roadmap aligning developments in technology and innovation with customer needs, market opportunities and the strategic direction of both the Reliance Protect and Reliance Technology Care Solutions business units.
* Responsibility for assessing new products, solutions and suppliers in line with the technology roadmap. To include evaluating features, quality, security, certification and commercial model(s), and technical expertise and credibility of suppliers.
* Project management of the key stakeholders including suppliers and internal development and IT teams to introduce and integrate new features and services that add value to our solutions.
* Thorough understanding of customer wants and needs and identify differentiators, market opportunities, and USPs against the competitor solutions.
* Management of new product development, firmware versions and firmware control processes including UAT processes, introduction into production through formal change control processes, liaising with all internal key stakeholder, and controlling the associated communications to customers as required.
* Responsibility for the creation of technical specifications from business requirements.
* Responsibility for product certification, compliance to relevant standards, and associated technical documentation.
Your Profile
You will be educated to Degree level in a related field such as Engineering with at least 3 years experience in a technical product engineer role, ideally in wireless communications.
