WHAT TO EXPECT
We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Vehicle Integration Manager, poised to play a pivotal role in leading functional and attribute target delivery, acting as the voice of the customer from concept to production.
This individual will be instrumental in driving the development of new and existing vehicle architectures and top hats within JLR, leading either the Front End, Underfloor, or Upper body of the vehicle.
Your mission? To develop vehicle-level end-to-end technical delivery plans for key systems. You will be identifying inter-dependencies and maturation versus customer requirements, throughout virtual and physical test phases and drive the integration of new technologies into vehicle architectures. You will also be ensuring gateways are delivered on time to the required quality and cost targets.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
1. Accountable as the leader and final technical arbitrator, integrating and delivering the engineering for the zone ensuring compatibility with GRID, the commodity/system strategies and functional targets
2. Lead Group functional integration, to drive out complexity, maximize value and deliver the most efficient technical solutions
3. Work closely with Commodities and Vehicle Attributes and Robustness teams to drive delivery of embedded design quality, service and manufacturing requirements
4. Drive Group coordinated technical data progression (EBER, VEPS, DV, CAD, commodity freezing & releasing) with squads & interfacing with chapter team leads
5. Deliver compatible attribute, customer & business targets within aligned Architecture bandwidth
6. On time, at quality targets and within budget technical delivery through each program milestone
7. Oversee delivery into both virtual and physical verification and validation through the life of Programmes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
8. Strong automotive technical knowledge and extensive experience in complex interactions, including technical analysis and decision-making
9. Experience in leading teams of people to solve complex technical issues using a structured approach ;8D and/or Six Sigma
10. Project Management experience of delivery against a complex set of Programme technical deliverables
11. Comfortable working with Digibuck and CAD reviews and assessments
12. With extensive leadership expertise of individuals and teams, you will be comfortable adopting a servant leadership role to develop and guide the teams around you
13. Working knowledge of Programme delivery processes
14. Agile toolsets (such as JIRA), DV planning (RMDV) and Issue management
