A bit about the role As a lead operator you would work in our Production team, in this role your can expect to: Coordinate areas & shift responsibilities and work with the team leader to improve shift productivity (plan attainment) Conduct quality checks to ensure a great customer experience Be the go-to person for all other operatives on shift Attend daily review meetings, appointing other operatives duties and appointing staff role change overs Prepare for the shift ahead confirming enough materials and stock are prepared Conduct quality checks ensuring that we meet product specifications Perform machine/equipment hygiene and changeovers Work to relevant standards and Key Performance Indicators Be humble in work duties, being open to jump on the production line, get stuck in with cleaning duties and helping other areas of the business A bit about you Previous experience as a line leader or area leader within the food manufacturing sector Ability to read and communicate confidently in English Numerate (able to understand and work with numbers) Available for a rotating shift schedule - a mixture of days / nights and some weekend working Hard-working & diligent with a hunger to learn Comfortable working with raw materials such as beef, pork, chicken, turkey, lamb Flexible, pragmatic, resilient & humble Committed to food quality & safety Loves dogs (naturally) What's In It For You?
