Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School Protocol Education is currently working in partnership with secondary schools seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants to join their teams immediately. This is a rewarding opportunity for a skilled and reliable professional who can provide effective classroom support and contribute positively to students’ academic and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Providing 1:1 and small group support to students Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND Assisting teaching staff in delivering engaging and structured lessons Promoting positive behaviour and supporting classroom management Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams Requirements: Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, ideally within a secondary school setting Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one Strong, recent and checkable professional references Experience supporting students with additional needs A patient, adaptable and professional approach The successful candidate will be confident in building positive relationships, maintaining high expectations, and supporting students to reach their full potential.
