Audit Senior
Are you an experienced Audit Senior looking for a role that offers responsibility, client exposure and clear progression within practice?

This is an excellent opportunity for an Audit Senior to join a well-established accountancy practice in Axminster. You’ll work with a varied client portfolio, taking ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
As Audit Senior, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality audit services while supporting the wider audit team.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audit fieldwork on a range of clients across multiple sectors.
* Assisting with audit planning, risk assessments and audit strategies.
* Completing audit testing and preparing high-quality working papers.
* Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and support.
* Preparing statutory accounts and supporting schedules where required.
* Acting as a key point of contact for clients during audit assignments.
* Identifying audit issues and communicating findings clearly to managers.
* Ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with deadlines.
* Supporting managers with technical queries and ad hoc audit matters.
This role offers strong exposure to end-to-end audits with increasing responsibility and client interaction.
About You
You’ll be a capable and motivated audit professional with solid practice experience.
You will:
* Be ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience
* Have prior experience working in a UK accountancy practice with a strong audit focus
* Be confident leading audit fieldwork and supervising junior staff
* Possess good technical knowledge of UK auditing standards and FRS 102
* Have strong communication skills and a professional client-facing manner
* Be organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines
* Enjoy mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative team environment
* Be keen to progress toward Audit Manager level over time
