Role: Membership Advisor / Junior Duty Manager (Sales-Focused) Location: Anytime Fitness Southsea, Portsmouth Hours: 30 hours per week (flexible shifts including some weekends) About the Role We’re looking for a driven, proactive Membership Advisor to join our team at Anytime Fitness Southsea. This is a sales-led, customer-facing role for someone who enjoys talking to people, taking initiative, and turning conversations into memberships. You’ll play a key role in growing the gym, welcoming new members, and maintaining the premium experience we’re known for. This role suits someone who is hungry to perform, comfortable working to targets, and interested in progressing towards a Duty Manager position. Key Responsibilities Proactively engage with prospective members in-gym, on the phone, online, and locally Proactively generate own prospective prospects either in gym or outside Book and deliver gym tours that convert into memberships Follow up all enquiries and leads promptly and professionally Promote membership options and clearly communicate the value of Anytime Fitness Support retention by building positive relationships with existing members Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation at all times Assist with opening/closing duties and basic operational tasks as required Represent the brand confidently and professionally at all times What We’re Looking For Previous sales or customer-facing experience (gym experience a bonus, not essential) Confident communicator who enjoys speaking to new people Proactive mindset — you don’t wait to be told what to do Comfortable working towards daily and weekly targets Reliable, organised, and takes ownership of results Interest in fitness, health, or personal development Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification preferred but not essential What You’ll Get Competitive hourly rate commission structure Clear performance expectations and support to succeed Training in sales, member experience, and gym operations Opportunity to progress into a Duty Manager / management role Work in a premium, community-focused gym environment Important to Know This is not a passive front-desk role.
