The Education Network is recruiting for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join one of our inclusive and supportive partner schools in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and helping them reach their full potential.
The Role: As an SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with a range of SEND, including autism (ASC), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and communication or learning difficulties.
Support class teachers in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions.
Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour among pupils.
Contribute to the development and delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports every child to thrive.About You: We are looking for someone who:
Has previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (in mainstream or specialist settings).
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting behaviour and learning.
Works well as part of a team and communicates effectively with staff, pupils, and parents.
Is reliable, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
Holds a relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) – however, strong experience will also be considered.What We Offer:
