Overview
A leading business in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a key role supporting group-level reporting, ensuring accurate consolidation across multiple entities, and managing intercompany reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial results.
Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant
* Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in line with reporting deadlines.
* Own the group consolidation process, including elimination entries and foreign currency adjustments.
* Lead on intercompany accounting: reconcile balances, resolve mismatches, and ensure timely settlement across entities.
* Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and support the monthly balance sheet review process.
* Assist in preparing statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors during year-end.
* Support the month-end and year-end close process, including journals, accruals, and adjustments.
* Drive process improvements and implement best practices for group accounting and intercompany processes.
What the successful candidate will bring
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
* Strong technical knowledge of group accounting, consolidations, and intercompany reconciliations.
* Experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and regions.
