Modern Apprentice Accountancy Assistant (x2 positions) Location: Stirling Council Finance Team Age Requirement: 16–19 years old (by 30 November) A rare and exciting opportunity has opened up for two Modern Apprentices to join the Stirling Council Finance Team as Accountancy Assistants. This is a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience in public sector finance while working towards a nationally recognised qualification – the AAT Certificate in Accounting (SCQF Level 6). What You’ll Learn: How accounting works in a real-world public sector organisation Skills in preparing budgets (revenue and capital) How to compile grant claims and financial statistics Use of IT systems and finance tools Teamwork and communication in a professional environment What You’ll Need: Higher Maths and English (or equivalent) A genuine interest in finance, numbers, and learning new skills Willingness to work hard and grow in a supportive team Who Can Apply: You must be aged 16–19 by 30 November If you’re aged 20–29 and are care experienced or have a disability, you may still be eligible through enhanced Modern Apprenticeship funding We Welcome Everyone: Ready to take the first step in your finance career? Job Description Additional Salary Information Stirling Information The Benefits 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service) Pro-rated for part time roles.
