Job Title: Head of Sales - Indirect
Location: Field Based – with travel expected to our head office, customers and other sites within the Carlsberg Britvic network
Job Length: Permanent – Full Time (37.5 hours)

Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks, including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner, 1664, Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks, Carlsberg Britvic's brands include J2O, Robinsons, Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX, 7UP, Lipton Iced Tea and Rockstar Energy.

With a strong national footprint, the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 6 production facilities and 16 logistics depot's servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together, the one common goal remains, and that is ensuring our people succeed.

About the role:
As Head of Sales – Indirect, you will lead a portfolio of customers and brands in the National Indirect team with a sales team of 6 to deliver our commercial targets, whilst developing

and implementing effective sales strategies & executing of our brand plans. You will be the driving force behind your team's success, providing clear direction, support, and motivation to help them excel in their roles, and deliver against ambitious growth plans.

Reporting to the
On Trade Licenced National Account Director,
this role will play a key part of our success journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

* Shape strategic plans and engage both the direct and virtual teams to translate these plans into actions and tactics.
* Ensure joint business plans across the team are aligned, robust and drive business growth and share.
* Responsibility for budget delivery with Carlsberg Britvic's ambitious growth plans – establishing/ executing commercial plans to deliver against these budgets.
* Engage teams cross functionally to maximise commercial outcomes for customers and the business.
* Create and embed a performance management culture within the function where colleagues are stretched and developed.
* Manage commercial risk and continually assess performance vs plan, resetting priorities and effectively communicating where needed.
* Accurately forecast demand and supply effectively through the S&OP forecast.
* Identify and ensure we have the right resource behind growth areas, winning new business to drive critical growth
* Develop leadership and sales capability within the function through effective coaching and feedback, and development opportunities.
* Lead and role model our growth culture behaviors that builds diversity and inclusion, ensuring colleagues are empowered, supported, have a true voice, are listened to and trust that action will be taken.

Experience and Key Attributes:

* Extensive commercial experience within the FMCG industry, ideally in alcohol or soft drinks within On Trade and/or Wholesale.
* Strong leadership experience, leading and developing large high performing teams is desired.
* Ability to bring clear focus for a dispersed national team, setting high standards of execution and ensuring these are maintained right through to customer.
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, engaging cross functionally to senior management.
* A focus on continuous development through highly effective coaching, understanding what drives and influences the individual and the team, creating a culture of personal accountability, ownership and focus on performance.
* Proven experience of excellent performance and delivery of results within a large commercial team.
* Ability to translate strategic plans into actions that can be executed in a dynamic and competitive market.
* Build world class customer engagement through joint business planning and winning relationships.
