We are working exclusively with an award-winning, family-focused business in Northallerton, currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic General Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and well-established leisure business, where you’ll work closely with the Directors to lead a dedicated team and drive continued success in a fun, fast-paced environment.
Position Details:
1. Full-time: 45 hours per week
2. Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday
3. Required availability until 7:15 PM on up to 4 out of 5 working days (Start times will be adjusted accordingly)

What You’ll Be Doing:
4. Delivering outstanding customer service and inspiring your team to maintain the same high standards.
5. Leading, coaching, and developing a team – providing clear direction and motivation across daily and weekly operations.
6. Monitoring and improving team performance through regular feedback and hands-on support.
7. Managing labour, stock, costs, and overheads to meet business KPIs and financial targets.
8. Driving sales, setting targets, and supporting your team in achieving revenue goals.
9. Overseeing the upkeep and safety of all recreational equipment and facilities.
10. Ensuring compliance with all operational systems, procedures, and documentation.
11. Maintaining high standards of health & safety, hygiene, and cleanliness.
12. Actively leading the team on the floor – this is a hands-on, customer-facing role.
13. Creating and managing staff rotas and processing payroll.
14. Supporting with social media content, responding to customer enquiries (phone/email).
15. Managing supplier relationships and overseeing inventory and ordering.
16. Having a strong understanding of food & beverage operations.
What We’re Looking For:
17. 1+ years’ experience in a similar Assistant Manager, Duty Manager, or General Manager role within the leisure or hospitality industry.
18. Proven experience managing a team of 6 or more.
19. A passion for delivering exceptional service and creating a welcoming, energetic environment.
20. Confident leadership, initiative, and adaptability in a fast-paced setting.
21. Highly organised, efficient, and a proactive problem solver.
22. Willingness to lead by example and be actively involved in daily operations.
