As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ADHD, Autism, SEMH, and other learning differences. This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about inclusion, making a real impact, and developing their career within education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-to-one or small group support tailored to individual learning needs
Work collaboratively with class teachers, SENCOs, parents, and support staff
Track, assess, and record pupil progress, adapting support strategies where needed
Encourage and engage learners through creative and inclusive activities
Help maintain a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment
Requirements & Qualifications:
Previous experience in a SEND or similar support role is essential
A strong commitment to supporting children with additional needs
Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (desirable)
A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
