Job Introduction
This job puts good food on the table.
As aGeneralCatering Assistantat Sodexo inNuffield Health, you’ll play an important part in preparing andserving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery andwellbeing. You’ll also help maintain aclean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas.With a cheerfulattitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real differencein someone’s day. What you’ll do:
* Accurately take and record patient and visitor refreshment orders, including allergies and dietary needs.
* Assemble and deliver meals promptly, ensuring patients are comfortable and assisted as needed.
* Maintain hygiene by cleaning all crockery, cutlery, trays, and kitchen areas to infection control standards.
* Manage stock control, storage, rotation, and documentation; report equipment faults and delays.
* Assist with food preparation, including special diets, and support all catering areas as required.
* Communicate professionally and courteously, follow all policies, and work safely with minimal waste.
What you bring:
* Previous experience in similar role
* Excellent craft and presentation skills
* Good communication and literacy skills
* Good customer focus with attention to detail
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
