About the Role
* As a Youth Tutor, you’ll play a vital role in delivering high-quality, engaging training and assessment for youth learners. Whether in a classroom, workshop, or one-to-one setting, you’ll support young people in building skills, gaining qualifications, and reaching their full potential.
* This is more than a teaching role—it’s about mentoring, motivating, and making a real difference.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Deliver engaging and effective teaching sessions tailored to youth learners
* Support learners with their specialist qualification route, including vocational and classroom-based elements
* Monitor progress and ensure timely qualification achievements
* Register and assess learners, conduct controlled tasks, and maintain awarding body standards
* Keep accurate records and complete all necessary documentation
* Travel across a regional area to meet with learners at their locations
* Continuously develop resources and improve your own skills through CPD and standardisation meetings
* Maintain high-quality standards and contribute to positive learner outcomes
Who We’re Looking For
* Essential:
* Experience in work-based learning and delivering Essential Skills (up to Level 2)
* Qualified Assessor (or willingness to work towards it)
* Great communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
* IT literate and confident with admin and learner documentation
* Knowledge of ESW requirements, safeguarding, and Prevent duties
Desirable:
* Level 3 Essential Skills Practitioner Certificate
* City & Guilds 9300 Level 2
* Welsh speaker
