Role Description
This is a hands-on commercial role working closely with
the Head of Commercial to develop and implement business development strategies
across all areas of the business. The role focuses on generating new revenue
opportunities, building a sustainable pipeline and developing long-term client
relationships.
You will play a key role in shifting the sales function
from reactive to proactive, supporting the wider commercial strategy and
contributing to revenue growth across all venues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Identifying
and generating outbound business opportunities through LinkedIn, email, phone
outreach and networking.
* Building
and maintaining relationships with corporate event planners, PA networks,
third-party agencies and internal event teams.
* Managing
the full sales cycle from initial enquiry and discovery through to proposal,
negotiation and close.
* Creating
tailored proposals and pricing in line with commercial frameworks and pricing
guardrails.
* Managing
client relationships to drive repeat bookings and long-term account value.
* Represent
the business at exhibitions, client presentations and industry events, working
alongside key strategic partners and Destination.
* Management Organisations
(DMOs) to generate new business opportunities and strengthen market presence.
Pipeline and Commercial
Management
* Developing
and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospects and active opportunities.
* Tracking
and managing conversion rates, pipeline performance and revenue contribution.
* Maintaining
accurate CRM records to support data-driven decision-making.
* Contributing
to revenue meetings, including reporting on won, lost and pipeline business.
Collaboration and Strategy
* Working
closely with the Marketing team to align campaigns with business development
activity and support lead generation.
* Providing
insight into market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity.
* Supporting
the Head of Commercial in developing and refining business development
strategies.
Other Duties and
