Job Summary
Are you looking to develop your dietetic skills working with adults with a range of conditions in the acute setting? This post is based within the Adult Nutrition and Dietetic team in Grimsby and is the ideal place to start or develop your practice as a Band 5 Dietitian.
Main Duties
* Provide a high standard dietetic service undertaking all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
* Be responsible for the caseload in a defined area of the service, supervising and allocating work to assistants and students as delegated.
* Provide advice to other health care professionals as appropriate for level of skills.
* Use clinical reasoning skills and evidence‑based practice to diagnose and develop and deliver treatment programmes.
* Participate in evidence‑based audit and research projects to further quality improvement in the service.
* Meet with and keep to the HCPC Standards of Proficiency and Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics.
* Deputise for Band 6 dietitian when required.

Person Specification
Essential
* Experience working within the acute setting.
* Degree/Diploma in Dietetics.
* HCPC Registered or applied for registration (students).
* Competent IT skills.
* Clinical supervisory skills / experience of supporting students.
Desirable
* Experience working with a wide range of client groups.
* Experience delivering presentations to a range of audiences.
* Relevant accredited courses.
* Member of BDA.
* Membership of specialist interest groups.
* Supervision of assistant staff.
