This thriving multi-academy trust has a head office based in Bury, with schools across Bury, Rochdale and North Manchester. Due to continued growth, they have approached Hays seeking an ICT Technician to join the team on a permanent basis. The trust has undergone a significant period of growth already, and it's therefore important that the right individuals are appointed to ensure the success of the growth.
The IT Team has grown over the past 2 years and Hays has placed a number of people within the organisation, continuously receiving excellent feedback from them regarding the collaborative culture present, as well as further development opportunities.
Your new role
As an ICT Technician for the trust, you will be reporting to the Service desk lead. You will be travelling between secondary schools in the Bury and Rochdale areas but may sometimes be required to travel to Bolton and Salford.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide IT Support in maintaining and developing the schools' desktop/ tabletputers/ servers/ cloudputing environments and related equipment
2. Provide technical support to staff and pupils at secondary schools
3. Work with 3rd party vendors where needed toplete tickets where needed
4. Provide support for IT projects desired
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have prior experience in IT Support roles (Education experience desirable) and have relevant certificates (p TIA A+, Network +. Microsoft certified professional)
To have strong technical proficiency in diagnosing and resolving IT issues across multiple platforms, including Windows, macOS and Linux.
You must be able to drive with your own means of transport and be local to the Bury area, as this role will require you to be on site daily, and you will be visiting schools in the trust, based in the Bury, Rochdale area.
Having excellentmunication and relationship-building skills is essential, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively to non-technical users.
