TEXO Recruitment is currently sourcing for multiple CNC roles on behalf of our external client located in Dundee, on a 3-month contract basis.
CNC Setter
Responsibilities:
1. Set up and operate state-of-the-art Matsuura CNC Milling Machines (3, 4, and 5 axis).
2. Work with a variety of metals to precise specifications.
3. Interpret technical drawings and work to tight tolerances.
4. Ensure quality control and machine maintenance.
5. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in CNC milling and setting.
* Proven experience with Fanuc controls.
* Willingness to be trained on Matsuura CNC machines.
* Solid understanding of 3-axis CNC milling (essential).
* Experience operating 4 and 5-axis machines (preferred).
* Setter/Operator experience is required.
* Must live within commuting distance of Cupar Muir, Fife.
CNC Turner
Responsibilities:
1. Set up, programme, and operate CNC turning machines to produce small precision parts.
2. Read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements.
3. Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and tooling.
4. Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed.
5. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.
6. Perform routine machine maintenance.
7. Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Requirements:
* Experience as a CNC Turner with full expertise in CNC Turning Machining Centres, particularly NLX models.
* Proven ability to produce small precision parts with tolerances up to 0.005mm.
CNC Miller
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and operate CNC machines for tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
2. Understand specifications by reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
3. Translate instructions into computer commands for machine operation.
4. Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto machines.
5. Perform test runs to ensure outputs meet specifications.
6. Set machines to complete full cycles for large production runs.
7. Supervise machine operations and make adjustments for optimal results.
8. Inspect and measure finished products against requirements.
9. Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.
Requirements:
* Proven experience operating CNC Milling Machines (3-5 axes).
* Strong understanding of adjusting offsets.
* Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
* At least 1 year of CNC Machine Operating experience.
