We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Controller based in Kyleakin, Isle of Skye. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team in a key operational role.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring accuracy and availability
2. Place orders with suppliers, track shipments, and ensure the timely receipt of goods
3. Receive, inspect, and record deliveries
4. Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
5. Coordinate with purchasing and production teams
6. Maintain accurate records using inventory management systems
7. Maintain accurate records of stock levels, movements, and relevant paperwork
8. Implement and adhere to health and safety procedures, standards, and environmental legislation. Ensure storage areas are organized and compliant
9. Work with other departments, such as sales and warehouse, to ensure smooth operations
10. Identify and resolve stock-related issues and communicate effectively
Skills and Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in a stock control or inventory management role
2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
3. Good IT skills, particularly with inventory or warehouse management systems
4. Effective communication skills with suppliers, customers, and team members
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
6. Physically fit and capable of handling stock as required
7. Flexibility with working hours
8. Industry experience: familiarity with mechanical parts and components is advantageous but not essential
