Job Description:
Our client, an international clinical research organisation (CRO), is currently looking for a Senior Clinical Research Physician to join their team at their site in Newport, Wales.
As a Senior Clinical Research Physician, you will oversee early-stage clinical trials, manage study protocols, and ensure ethical conduct and compliance. You will collaborate with an expert sponsor team and contribute to projects that advance healthcare and improve patient outcomes.
You will be driven to enhance patient safety, improve quality systems, and ensure high standards of data quality for drug development.
This role offers scope for leadership and personal development. The site being relatively new, you will have the opportunity to grow and nurture a clinical research team and have significant interaction with sponsors.
The client considers candidates who can relocate within the UK; however, sponsorship is not available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide medical direction, oversee protocol compliance, and ensure participant safety during clinical trials.
* Evaluate and interpret clinical data, maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
* Assist in scientific feasibility assessments, guide clinical operations, and collaborate with sponsors.
* Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and maintain rigorous documentation and confidentiality.
Requirements
* Full and current GMC registration (essential).
* Strong background in clinical research and trials.
* Experience as a Principal Investigator or similar leadership role.
* Knowledge of regulatory guidelines.
* Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
