Key Responsibilities
1. Take responsibility for your own food counter, ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards at all times.
2. Stay on top of stock levels, ensuring the products our customers love are available when needed.
3. Work carefully with open food, following all due diligence and health & safety protocols to help reduce food wastage.
4. Maintain knowledge of new products and understand Waitrose's food values (e.g., animal welfare).
5. Support the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks as required.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Effective communication skills to work as part of a team and with customers.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Experience in catering or hospitality environments.
* Knowledge of current food and drink trends and a strong interest in them.
* Flexible approach to support the whole branch.

Part-time hours are varied, totaling 16 hours across seven days, including early mornings, late finishes, evenings, and weekends.
