A client within the Public Sector based in West Yorkshire is currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join their team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within an employee relations environment.
The Role
Key purpose of the role is to provide specialist HR advice and casework support across the Council, ensuring compliance with policy and employment legislation while enabling managers to resolve workforce matters effectively.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Delivering high quality HR advice and casework support on employee relations issues including grievance, discipline, sickness and performance
• Coaching and advising managers to build confidence in handling people management matters independently
• Ensuring HR casework is managed efficiently, confidentially, and in line with Council policy and employment law
• Working with trade unions and attending hearings and appeals as required
• Supporting the HR Service Desk and helping develop HR guidance and manager training
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require CIPD Level 5 qualification and a strong background in employee relations casework.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:
• Experience within a local authority or large public-sector organisation
• Strong communication and coaching skills
• Ability to manage complex cases and maintain confidentiality
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £21.20 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. £18.53 per hour PAYE).
