Position Summary
To provide dedicated Health and Safety support to the Washington Plant.
Responsibilities
* Maintain the Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards, including updating and implementing policies and procedures as required
* Review and update the legal register as required
* Manage the risk assessment process
* Oversee first aid arrangements
* Organise and deliver training
* Update HSE metrics
* Write and issue reports as required
* Write and issue Health and Safety briefings
* Carry out regular safety audits and tours
* Conduct Health and Safety & Environmental monitoring and assessments
* Chair Health and Safety meetings and issue minutes
* Coordinate accident and incident investigations, maintain logs and statistics, and ensure actions are completed
* Liaise with the HSE and other regulatory bodies as required
* Develop and run Health and Safety initiatives
* Manage PPE
* Oversee contractor procedures and permits to work
* Undertake any other duties commensurate with the position as and when required
What We Are Looking For
* Qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate level
* At least 5 years’ experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental practice within a manufacturing environment
* Experience as an internal auditor
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Practical auditing experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
