The purpose of this role is to develop and implement groupwide EHS communications and engagement at JEG, acting as the single point of contact for official EHS communications. The role can be based at any Jones Engineering Group office and reports to the Group EHS Business Support Manager.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the single point of contact for official EHS communications.
* Work with Marketing and Human Resources to ensure aligned, consistent and cohesive messaging on agreed EHS initiatives and campaigns.
* Coordinate, create and publish internal EHS content such as the Weekly EHS Incident Summary, Good News Safety Stories, Safety Lessons Learned Bulletins, Safety Newsletters and Safety Handbooks.
* Translate complex concepts like leading and lagging EHS data into compelling and engaging EHS communications.
* Lead project teams to develop EHS communications, campaigns and initiatives.
* Engage site teams in driving EHS communications, campaigns and initiatives.
* Coach H&S professionals and supervisors on messaging.
* Collaborate with the Graduate Programme Coordinator on EHS requirements and initiatives with the Graduate Programme.
* Monitor and analyse the effectiveness of EHS communication campaigns and client safety perception to identify areas for improvement.
* Develop and execute EHS communication and promotional plans that align with the business.
* Conduct regular and ad hoc 'voice of the customer' safety interviews and focus groups.
* Report out to the H&S LT on campaign, messaging and initiative effectiveness.
* Use a variety of communication tools to deliver key EHS messages.
Skills and Requirements
* Strong background in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS).
* Proven ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate written EHS communications.
* Demonstrates creativity in developing engaging EHS content and solutions.
* Track record of quickly establishing effective relationships with key stakeholders.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to design and implement comprehensive, long‑term EHS communication strategies.
* Capable of working independently while consistently meeting deadlines.
* Experience within the construction, mechanical, or electrical sectors.
* Solid project management experience with the ability to drive initiatives to completion.
* Strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex information into actionable plans.
* Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work.
* Willingness to travel internationally to company sites (minimum 25%).
