We are currently seeking a Warehouse Process Engineer with specific experience in the construction and setup of warehousing facilities to join our dynamic and forward-thinking team.
Role Overview
As a Warehouse Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and implementation of logistics solutions with a strong focus on new warehouse construction and layout optimisation. You will apply your technical expertise to ensure our warehousing infrastructure supports the efficient flow of goods while aligning with business objectives and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Construction Support: Lead or support the planning and construction phases of new warehouse builds, including layout design, infrastructure requirements, and workflow optimization.
Process Design & Implementation: Develop and refine warehouse processes for inbound, outbound, inventory control, and materials handling.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve warehouse operations and implement lean methodologies to drive efficiency and cost reduction.
Automation Integration : Lead initiatives to integrate automated systems such as conveyors, robotics
Inventory & Material Flow Management: Oversee stock flow and material storage strategies to ensure accuracy, availability, and optimal use of space.
Transportation Coordination: Collaborate with transport teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished goods.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Use logistics software and analytics tools to monitor KPIs, track performance, and support data-led improvements.
Safety and Compliance: Implement/monitor safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations, including OSHA standards.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to safety standards, building regulations, and industry compliance frameworks.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics engineering, with demonstrable experience in warehouse construction projects .
Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics/engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP, MS Visio).
Solid understanding of logistics processes, layout design, and material handling systems .
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
A proactive mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
Soft Skills - Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
