Are you passionate about supporting young people to thrive both emotionally and academically? This is a pivotal role within our pastoral team, acting as a key link between nurture support, teaching staff, senior leaders (including the SENCo and Behaviour Lead), and parents/carers and external agencies. You will play a vital role in ensuring a consistent, joined-up approach to supporting pupils' wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement in learning. Working under the direction of teaching staff and senior leaders:
* Act as a central pastoral link, coordinating communication and support between teaching staff, SENCo, Behaviour Lead, DSL, parents/carers, and external services.
* Support the implementation of individual pastoral and educational plans, ensuring consistency across classroom, nurture provision, and home.
* Monitor, track and review the progress, wellbeing, and behaviour of identified pupils, contributing to planning meetings and multi-agency work.
* Analyse behaviour and pastoral data to inform next steps and contribute to strategic planning with senior leaders.
* Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Counselling, Childcare, Education).
* Experience working with children and young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
* Experience of working with families and/or external agencies is desirable.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across a range of stakeholders.
