Job Description
Job Title: Sr. Global Payroll Specialist
Location: Cambridge MA (open to remote but must be local)
Duration: 6 months, possible extension
Role Overview:
This role supports a wide range of activities within the global payroll function, focusing on US multi-entity, multi-state payroll, and international processing cycles. The candidate will support full cycle payroll processing, review tasks, employee inquiries, and ensure compliance and data integrity. Note: This position does not process payroll directly as it is outsourced; instead, it involves reviewing and supporting payroll activities.
Requirements:
* Experience with Workday payroll (3-5 years)
* Knowledge of international payroll processing and equity transactions
* Familiarity with multi-state/multi-entity processing
* Ability to analyze large datasets with Microsoft Excel
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills
* Understanding of compliance requirements within a public company
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with ADP wage and tax (not payroll)
* Experience with outsourced payroll delivery models
* Knowledge of ex-pat and permanent transfer processing
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support bi-weekly and monthly payroll cycles for US and international employees.
2. Collaborate with global compensation vendors and mobility teams on payroll-related activities.
3. Coordinate with finance, tax, and legal teams for documentation and compliance.
4. Handle employee inquiries and timesheet reviews.
5. Coordinate with external processing vendors and teams.
6. Assist with payroll reporting, audits, and year-end activities.
7. Participate in process improvement initiatives.
8. Perform additional duties as the role evolves.
