Schedule: 40-hour week, Monday - Friday (8:00am-4:30pm)
Job Description
An overview of the role:
* Learning how to read & understand structural engineer drawings
* Learning how to convert these drawings into 'working drawings' using AutoCAD Advanced Steel (CAD software designed specifically for the industry)
* Once approved by the client, your drawings are sent to the workshop where the steels are fabricated & sent out
* Liaising with customers & discussing projects
* Learning how to create estimates for projects
* Working as part of a small, friendly office team
* Pitching in with general day to day office tasks
Who we are looking for:
* Experience using CAD software is preferred however not essential, as full training will be provided to the successful candidate
* Self motivated & enthusiastic
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills (both over the phone & in person)
* Ability to multitask & manage own workload
* Computer literate & confident in using Microsoft office
* An interest in learning a new skill set & trade
* A strong team player
Experience:
* AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
