Trust Doctor (eqv. to ST4+ level) in Breast Surgery
Whipps Cross Hospital
Whipps Cross University Hospital, part of the Barts Health NHS Trust Group, is seeking a full-time Trust Doctor (eqv in ST4+) in the Breast Department for a 12-month fixed-term contract. We are looking for an enthusiastic clinician to join our multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses, and support staff in the Breast Department, based at Whipps Cross Hospital.
There will be ample opportunity to further clinical and operative skills through exposure to a range of cases including complex reconstruction surgery and salvage surgery. There is a broad range of clinics for the post holder to gain exposure to from daily one stop clinics, routine follow up and oncoplastic clinics and of particular interest will be our family history clinic which is one of the few remaining such clinics in London.
Main duties of the job

There is a broad range of clinics for the post holder to gain exposure to from daily one stop clinics, routine follow up and oncoplastic clinics and of particular interest will be our family history clinic which is one of the few remaining such clinics in London.

Your primary base will be Whipps Cross Hospital. However, there may also be a requirement for you to attend other hospitals within the Trust where appropriate for work or training.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. MBBS or equivalent
2. MRCS/FRCS
3. GMC Registration

4. Higher Degree
Experience
Essential criteria
5. Minimum 2 years’ experience working at SHO Level (or equivalent) including six months experience of working as an SHO in breast department
6. Experience of Clinical Audit and quality improvement projects
Desirable criteria
7. Formal experience in education and training
8. Experience in management
Knowledge and Skills

9. Previous experience of breast disease, outpatient clinics and inpatient workload and breast surgery
10. Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary Environment
