Job Description
Overall Responsibility: Cash collection & achieving targets, reconciliation, query resolution, reporting, refunds and reducing DSO and Bad Debt across the Group.\n\nSpecific Duties & Responsibilities:\n\n* Collection of fees for all companies using various collection methods.\n\n* Work towards monthly group and individual cash targets.\n\n* Reducing any bad debt within your area.\n\n* Ability to work in multiple currencies chasing debt in various countries.\n\n* Reconciling various files and accounts.\n\n* Working with aged debtors, resolving queries\n\n* Working closely with Adjusters, Insurers and Brokers\n\n* Maintain and issue monthly statements & BDX, including uploading invoices onto various portals including Legal X.\n\n* Respond to client requests for information within a specific timeframe.\n\n* Seek assistance from adjustors to resolve any outstanding issues.\n\n* Process fees and reserves into Class and ECF\n\n* Create and maintain spreadsheets and reports to identify clients for collection.\n\n* Issuing Refunds in a timely fashion and ensuring that they are processed.\n\n* Keeping management informed of your progress, queries, or changes to Client processes.\n\n* Keeping systems/master data updated with comments and changes to Client information.\n\n* Completing reports for various areas of the business. Daily, weekly & monthly.\n\nKey Performance Indicators:\n\n* Achieving individual Cash Targets\n\n* Reducing Debtor Days Outstanding\n\n* Reducing the Percentage of Debt overdue\n\n* Reducing the Bad Debt Provision\n\nQualifications, experience & type of individual required:\n\nEssential:\n\n* At least 4 years experience in Credit Control, working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.\n\n* Ability to follow set processes but also be able to "think outside the box" to resolve a query or chase a client.\n\n* Excellent work ethic with a proactive attitude.\n\n* IT literate with advanced Word and Excel skills, able to produce Pivot Tables and V-Lookups.\n\n* Managed a small team with good leadership skills.\n\n* Having worked on various accounting or bespoke systems, SAP, Oracle. And internal data management systems.\n\n* Excellent query resolution and the ability to use all systems available to resolve the queries.\n\n* Excellent reconciliation skills with the ability to obtain firm commitments for payment from the clients.\n\n* Client-focused, good at establishing and building relationships.\n\n* Experience in raising billing issues with senior staff.\n\n* Experience in organising work to ensure objectives are met.\n\n* Experience negotiating details to which both parties are willing to commit and deliver.\n\n* Able to communicate in a clear, professional, concise, and structured manner\n\ninternally and with clients.\n\n* Enjoy working in a team and independently.\n\n* Ability to self-motivate and self-manage their workload.\n\n* Enjoys challenges and resolves queries with a positive attitude and persona.\n\nDesirable:\n\n* Experience with complicated collections in a professional services environment\n\n* Experience with the ECF/Class system\n\n* Legal or Insurance Collections\n\nWorking Conditions * 9:00 - 17:00 (1-hour lunch break)\n\n* Some overtime may be required.\n\n* Deputise when the Credit Control Manager is not available
