Core subject teaching for Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEN/SEND needs, including SEMH, MLD, and SLD, in Berkshire. Multiple positions are available and hiring is ongoing to meet the broad range of needs we support. We are focused on transforming the quality of education for vulnerable learners, with a trauma-informed, holistic approach and strong safeguarding practices.
Targeted Provision supports children and young people by keeping the team around the child; you will be supported throughout placements by our SEN/SEND Support Specialists. This role is suitable for qualified SEN/SEND teachers who enjoy 1:1 tutoring with varied learning needs and prefer a flexible, creative approach.

The SEN / SEND Tutor role
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision
* Learners are referred by local authorities and schools and may require holistic support in educational and social-emotional development
* Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support their journey
SEN / SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities
* Plan each tutoring/mentoring session
* Deliver holistic and engaging sessions tailored to the learner’s needs and progress
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress
SEN / SEND Tutor requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience
* Experience working with learners with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or other needs
* Understanding of safeguarding processes
* Enhanced DBS (assistance to obtain at cost if needed)
* Two professional references
* UK-based with right to work in the UK, including remote/online work
It is a strict requirement to promote health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people and follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging as a Worker for short-term engagements as they arise
* Contract for service with PAYE payment
* No guaranteed hours or expenses coverage
* Employer insurance covers the work
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position
