Location: St Helens (Hybrid working) Full-Time or Part-Time Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (pro rata), depending on experience We’re looking for a Bid Manager to join our growing team at Safer Sphere – someone who knows how to lead the bid process with purpose, pace and precision. You’ll take ownership of bids from start to finish, working closely with our leadership, technical, and delivery teams to produce high-quality, compelling submissions. You’ll bring structure, energy, and clarity to every stage of the process – and keep things moving, even when the pressure’s on. We’re looking for someone with a strong track record in bid management and coordination. Sector experience in construction or architecture is a bonus – but it’s your ability to bring people together, stay organised, and drive progress that really counts. What you’ll be doing: Own the bid process – track new opportunities, coordinate go/no-go decisions and drive each stage through to final submission. Work closely with Directors and consultants, as well as the wider team, to identify the right insights, technical input, and real-world examples that set us apart. Write, edit and format bid responses that reflect our knowledge, showcase our expertise and align with our values. Coordinate all elements of the submission – including PQQs, ITTs, and framework bids, ensuring every box is ticked and nothing is missed. Track deadlines and progress to ensure everything stays on course. Keep our bid library and project case studies up to date and easily accessible with the support of our marketing team. Help us continuously improve how we pitch and present our services, learning from feedback, spotting what works and sharing best practices across the team. What you’ll bring: You’ll have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar bid or proposal role, ideally within construction, design or architecture. A clear, concise writing style and an eye for detail Strong coordination skills – you can juggle tasks and still meet deadlines A proactive, hands-on approach – you take ownership and get things done Confidence to work with stakeholders at all levels Strong knowledge of MS Office and Adobe tools (InDesign a bonus) Why join Safer Sphere?
