Protocol Education are looking for an Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to work in a vibrant nursery in North East Bristol, in BS5. The nursery are committed to providing a nurturing environment through play-based learning. Their aim is to provide each child with a hand to hold as they take their first steps in their education journey, and providing them with the skills to achieve everything they want.
About the Role
The Level 3 practitioner role will be working part-time in the baby room setting. The relevant qualifications in early years – NNEB, NVQ Level 3+ (Childcare & Education), BTEC (Childcare) or equivalent, or higher qualification such as QTS, Foundation Degree or BA Hons in early years education or child development is essential for this role
The role includes:
1. Looking after and monitoring babies from six months old
2. Help plan, organise and deliver activities to individuals or small groups of children to aid early development
3. Knowledge of birth-to-five matters pathway
4. Undertake shared responsibility with all staff for the care and maintenance of equipment and resources.
5. Feedback information of children’s progress in and outside of the classroom to other practitioners and parents
6. Knowledge of key nutrition requirements for young babies, including baby-led weaning
7. Act as a key worker to a small group of children
8. Collect video and photo observations, and write learning journeys
9. Provide hygiene and self-care support to the children
10. Carry out classroom organisational duties such as tidying up, mounting and removing classroom displays, serving snacks etc.

Pay rate is dependent on experience & qualifications.
