Role - Electrical Senior Design Engineer
Location - Warrington (Other locations may be considered)
Purpose of the role:
As an Electrical Senior Design Engineer, you will be a key member of the Engineering Design Team, working with Principal Engineers, Design Teams, and Managers to deliver high-quality designs in compliance with GT processes, BMS, and H&S Regulations. This technical role involves direct project engagement, requiring expertise in water and wastewater industry design. The Senior Design Engineer may also have line management responsibilities for other engineers.
Your responsibilities include providing technical guidance, ensuring design integration, supporting procurement and site activities, and mentoring junior staff.
What will you be doing:
* Ensuring technical compliance and quality of design outputs.
* Leading discipline-specific aspects of projects.
* Seeking cost-effective and innovative design solutions.
* Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and health and safety legislation.
* Promoting innovation and digital design practices.
* Providing technical problem-solving throughout project lifecycle.
* Supporting pre-contract design activities.
* Sharing lessons learned and mentoring team members.
About you:
* Proficient in ETAP, AutoCAD/Draftsight, and electrical design documentation.
* Experienced in HV & LV modelling, protection studies, and system calculations.
* Knowledge of wiring regulations, standards, and compliance requirements.
* Degree in Engineering or equivalent; Chartered status preferred.
* Extensive experience in water industry projects, with strong leadership skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management and IT skills.
