Job Description
We are seeking a professional and dynamic individual to manage customer accounts and develop business relationships within the food manufacturing and FMCG sectors.
Responsibilities include:
1. Managing customer accounts responsively and professionally.
2. Acting as the primary relationship manager, responding to customer needs via email, phone, and face-to-face meetings.
3. Building relationships and growing sales for the benefit of the company.
4. Supporting planning and forecasting with exposure to all aspects of commercial requirements.
5. Developing business through profitable trading opportunities and contributing to growth and profit plans.
6. Developing and implementing JBPs for key customers.
7. Attending client meetings and delivering sales presentations.
8. Preparing and presenting reports.
9. Maintaining awareness of company products, processes, and industry trends.
10. Supporting and developing the sales team.
Requirements
* Educated to at least A Level or equivalent; a relevant third-level qualification is an advantage.
* Passionate about food with a desire to enhance skills in account management.
* Experience trading FMCG to multiple retailers, with a good understanding of UK, Ireland, and European grocery markets.
* Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships.
* Strong numerical, analytical, and computer literacy skills.
* High-level people management skills, able to prioritize workload, work under pressure, and be a team player.
* Experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
* Flexible and willing to travel at short notice.
* Good commercial and business acumen with sound decision-making.
* Access to transport for travel to customer and company sites.
