UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE + MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have a fantastic opportunity for a Preceptorship Psychologist to join our integrated mental health team across HMP Fosse Way and HMP Five Wells, both category C prisons, supporting males aged 21+. The role involves working with a broad range of complex presentations. The position would suit a psychologist familiar with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity and complex trauma. You must be familiar with trauma-informed approaches and will contribute to and support the clinical leadership team in developing the psychological therapies service. The role includes supervising Assistant Psychologists, and if required supervision training can be supported as part of your preceptorship.
Hours Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, 2.5 days on each site.
Salary This position is full time, up to £56,000 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a qualified, HCPC registered Psychologist, responsibilities will include:
* Offer clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) in the form of training, supervision and reflective practice
* Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi-disciplinary formulations
* Deliver and oversee 1:1 psychological interventions and group interventions as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme
* Deliver teaching and training to healthcare and prison staff where required
* Contribute to audit, service evaluation and research profile as appropriate

Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
* Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist
* Knowledge of evidenced-based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical needs of people in prison
Experience
* Experience providing evidence-based psychological interventions to adults with a range of mental health problems
* Experience of working with a mental health forensic population
Desirable
* Experience delivering a range of psychological therapies such as CBT and compassion-focused therapies

* Disclosure and Barring Service check: This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and will require a DBS check
* UK Registration: Applicants must have current UK professional registration
