Our client is an independent adhesive manufacturer producing and supplying solvent-based and water-based adhesives to a wide range of industries across the UK and worldwide. Their business is growing steadily and as such they are now seeking a Technical Sales Manager to support with account management and new business development as well as providing technical assistance to the team and customers when required. This is a hands-on, commercially focused role ideal for someone with a strong technical background in adhesives or polymers who is keen to grow into a broader business management position.
Key Responsibilities
* All commercial activities including business growth and technical customer support.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, products and markets.
* Manage and develop key accounts with excellent technical and service support.
* Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
* Respond to customer enquiries and troubleshoot adhesive applications.
* Support production, quality control and logistics functions.
* Liaise with suppliers to ensure consistent supply, quality, and pricing of raw materials.
* Travel within the UK for customer visits and occasional international travel for industry events
Candidate Requirements
* Strong technical knowledge of adhesives, polymers, coatings, or related materials.
* Technical or commercial experience within the adhesives, polymers, or chemical industry.
* Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field preferred
* Confident communicator with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
* Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise across multiple functions.
* Full UK driving licence required
* Must possess the right to work in the UK, sponsorship is not provided.
