Overview
Glenleigh Park Primary Academy is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Qualified Nursery Practitioner on a permanent, full-time, term-time only basis.
The role is part of our friendly and caring nursery team, delivering high-quality early years provision and supporting children's development through play-based learning while fostering positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.
Qualifications
* Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification.
* Paediatric First Aid Certificate (desirable).
* First aid trained, or willingness to become so.
Experience
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience of establishing positive relationships with children.
* Experience of working successfully as part of a team.
Skills and Knowledge
* Ability to use language and other communication skills that pupils can understand and relate to.
* Ability to demonstrate active listening skills.
* Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers and other professionals, both verbally and in writing.
* Ability to create and maintain high-quality and accurate records.
* Ability to remain calm and patient under pressure, whilst working to deadlines.
* Ability to work in an organised and methodical manner.
* Ability to organise fun and stimulating activities.
* Ability to work effectively and supportively as a member of the nursery and school team.
* Ability to consistently and effectively implement agreed behaviour management strategies.
* Working knowledge of legislation relevant to working with young children.
* Demonstrable understanding of children's development.
* Demonstrable understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
