Salary: £30,333 - £32,613.
Post(s) attract allowances: Shift Allowance, Weekend Working Enhancement. Weekend enhancement provides an extra 271.31 hours for the 542.61 hours worked.
Shift percentage: 20%

The Team and Role Overview
Working collaboratively with investigators and partners, the team will drive up the quality and timeliness of investigations to improve outcomes at court. The victim is at the centre of what we do, and we aim to provide the highest possible service to the victims of the cases we process. Every person that works for us supports and serves the community we represent.
Our team are experts in Case Progression, ensuring case files are progressed efficiently with quality as the prime focus. You will take ownership of case files from pre‑charge to conclusion through the Criminal Justice process, providing support and guidance to officers to ensure a quality file, including managing multi‑media and liaison with the Crown Prosecution Service.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and administer cases to ensure quality and compliance using specialist knowledge of legislation and national guidelines, including timescales and court processes.
* Work autonomously to research, update and ensure accuracy of data and information in a range of computer systems.
* Collaborate with the Officer In Case to maintain responsibility and ownership for the quality assurance and compliance of case files.
* Provide a single point of contact for regular liaison between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the accurate completion and submission of case files, undertaking necessary enquiries, responding to queries, and meeting key deadlines/timescales.
* Manage and handle multi‑media material and evidence, ensuring continuity and including preparation and redaction for disclosure in accordance with the relevant guidance and legislative requirements.
* Redact all digital and paper materials and evidence in accordance with the relevant guidance and legislative requirements.
* Serve as a subject‑matter expert on case‑file preparation and prosecutions, providing advice, guidance and quality assurance to new members of the Criminal Justice team and operational officers and supervisors.
* Respond on behalf of the constabulary to CC Bail applications and bail variations in a timely manner.
* Maintain the quality assurance and compliance of case files, taking ownership of the administration throughout the criminal justice process, including submission of files to the Crown Prosecution Service.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Excellent IT skills, including the ability to use and update a wide range of computer systems.
* Confident communication at all levels, both orally and in writing, to build relationships with colleagues.
* Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
* Experience providing advice and guidance to colleagues and other departments.
* Proven attention to detail.

We have 2 permanent posts and 1 maternity cover post available.
These positions are shift roles working a range of patterns across a 24/7 operation, including nights. All relevant shift allowances and enhancements will be paid as appropriate.

This role is a blended working arrangement. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work from home and at a secondary police premises. All applicants must reside within the UK.
