We are recruiting for a Senior Clinical Site Manager who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Senior Clinical Site Manager will be the central point of managerial contact for external agencies, services and EAST ambulance service. They will make decisions on issues relating to the management of the site out of hours, informing the on-call manager when deemed necessary.
The post holder will act as the senior contact person on site for major incidents in line with the agreed policy in absence of Head of Operational Services.
To attend site meetings called in response to the Fire, bomb threats and mysterious packages alerts and be responsible for ensuring that all current procedures etc. are carried out in accordance with the Trust’s policy when Head of Operational Services unavailable.
Take part in all site meetings in regards to all non critical emergencies when appropriate, including fire, violent / untoward incidents/Major incidents.
The post holder will communicate with outside agencies when required e.g. police, coroner.

Main duties of the job
The Senior Clinical Site Manager will provide a point of contact for the East of England Ambulance Control and respond to all delays for Ambulance crews unable to offload patients, in undertaking this the senior clinical site manager you will have strong communications and professional relationships built with the Ambulance Halo officer.
To provide robust escalation plans for all Divisions to work within.
Coordinate the transfer and appropriate placement of patients from A&E, AMU, other wards, ITU, clinics and other Trusts ensuring that targets are met. Attending Board rounds and ensuring on-going communication with the wards.
Establish an effective working relationship with nursing staff to ensure collection of accurate information with regard to bed availability and predicted discharges.
Maintain an accurate and contemporaneous bed state, monitoring actual/potential occupancy at all times, and to contribute to the required daily collection and analysis of data relating to bed management.
Produce accurate reports relating to bed management and bed usage as required.

Qualifications/Training
Essential criteria
* Professional qualifications General training qualifications
* Other specific attainments RGN Level 1 or Level 15 depending on whether working with adults or children
* Diploma in Nursing and other appropriate post basic qualifications and experience Degree or equivalent level of experience
* Teaching and assessing qualification
Desirable criteria
* Post graduate level management or specialist course/s or equivalent specialist experience.
* Nurse prescribing qualification.
* Master’s Degree Qualification in specialty.
Previous Experience
Essential criteria
* Significant and proven clinical and management skills.
* Experience at senior nurse level within a relevant clinical field. Advanced breadth and depth clinical skills.
