This position sits on the operational board and offers a basic salary up to £100,000 with quarterly bonus and inclusion in the Management Incentive Plan. This is a remote role, with regular travel required. PURPOSE OF ROLE The primary purpose of the Sales Director role is to initially build and then lead a scalable and professional sales function that drives new sales and revenue across all divisional units and products, in line with forecast growth projections. As a member of the Board, you will be an integral part of the business leadership team, identifying and capitalising on new market opportunities, fostering long-term relationships with LSPs and lead generation sources and driving B2B sales strategies. In addition to direct sales, you will support the Operations Director with the continued development of a sales-based mindset to increase revenue and tenure across our entire client base. The Sales Director will work with the CEO and Operations Director to manage the Head of Marketing through a matrix management construct. The ideal candidate will Lead and deliver direct sales. Build a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with the companys vision and growth objectives. Embed the sales strategy building repeatable, scalable processes from lead generation, all the way through the sales cycle to won deals. Represent the business in all externally facing situations delivering a market-leading reputation across LSPs, our external digital outlets and all International Expansion mediums Oversee the customer acquisition process, ensuring that the cost of acquisition is managed correctly and a first-class, seamless integration into the operational teams. Evaluate market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly and maintain a competitive edge. Ensure that the sales department's work is fully integrated with other key areas of the business, such as operations and finance, to create a cohesive and efficient reporting framework. Play a pivotal role in the strategic planning and decision-making processes within the Board providing insights and forecasts that shape the company's direction and policies through market intelligence. Embody and promote the company's non-negotiables within the sales team and in every client interaction, representing the company at the highest standard. The Sales Directors leadership will be instrumental in not only driving the companys top-line growth but also in strengthening our clients position as a leader in International Expansion. PRIME RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the sales budget with precision, strategically plan for revenue targets, monitor sales team performance, and ensure robust reporting processes that continually drive sales growth. Establish key performance metrics such as customer lifetime value, acquisition costs and deal values at all stages of the sales cycle by working with the CFO and Operations Director. Work with the Head of Marketing toclearly define the requirements for sales enablement activities that are required to support all pitches, quotations, campaigns and events and agree on a process for managing effectiveness. Achieve sales targets and annual objectivesagreed with the CEO, meeting the set targets on schedule and according to defined success criteria. Drive a culture of high performance and innovationin line with the non-negotiable behaviours by establishing clear sales goals, promoting integrity in all sales processes, and insisting on best practices across sales, marketing and onboarding. Be the owner of the Fresh Sales and Fresh Marketing technology strategies ensuring our processes, data and MI. Collaborate with the Board to identify new product opportunities, refine sales pricing strategies, and improve profit margins through strategic partnerships and sales efficiency. Work in partnership with the CEO and CFO to manage the sales component of the budgeting and forecasting process ensuring a clear understanding of the financial implications of sales activities within the model. Work with our commercial team to ensure a first-class management experience of our LSP network proactively driving sales opportunities and year-on-year growth within each account. Build a network of external referral partners outside of the LSP network, controlled and managed through our Fresh sales technology program. Ensure a first-class management experience of our partnership network, proactively driving sales opportunities and year-on-year growth within each account. Develop a range of direct-to-client sales strategies building a strong growth pipeline outside of the referral networks, procuring clients directly. Be the owner of the business sales messaging by becoming an expert in our products, services and the value they bring to our clients and network partners. Ensure our sales collateral, external presence and all elevator pitches and training is maintained, continually improved and delivered to a first-class standard. Ensure the Senior Leadership management pack and the Board reporting pack are continually improved highlighting the continued evolution of the sales and marketing function and enhanced MI on performance. EXPERIENCE Proven direct sales experience Proven experience as a sales leader within an International Expansion market is preferable or aligned experience will be considered. Proven experience in B2B, direct-to-client and partnership sales strategies, with a history of achieving specific, measurable outcomes in sales growth and market penetration. Exceptional management, leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability of operating in the field, within sales functions and leadership teams. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, demonstrated through successful deal closures and client relationship management. Ability to foster a culture of continuous learning and development within sales practices, with a history of introducing successful sales training and development programs. Demonstrated passion for excellence in customer acquisition and client relationship management, with measurable achievements in enhancing customer satisfaction and sales effectiveness. Strong sales acumen and strategic thinking, with a focus on market analysis and cost management, illustrated through successful customer acquisition strategies and sales optimization initiatives.
