An exceptional opportunity presents itself for a Chef de Rang to join Mauro Colagreco's Restaurants at the Raffles London at the OWO. Reporting into Head Waiter, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service of the restaurant in the brand's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Specifically, as the Chef de Rang, your responsibilities will include:
* Promoting positive colleague relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust, mutual respect, and continuous feedback.
* Being an effective communicator, who adheres to both legal/statutory responsibilities and Company Policies and procedures.
* Having knowledge of menu and all products.
* Delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately.
* Acting as the contact point between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.
* Assisting the wait staff with table setting by fetching and placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, and napkins.
* Explaining the dishes to the clients with a knowledgeable and professional way.
* Checking in with customers and taking additional orders or refilling water, as needed.
* Being responsible for serving food orders and removing used dishes and utensils.
* Ensuring food is served in accordance with safety standards.
* Informing restaurant staff about customers' feedback or requests.
* Understanding and communicating the concept of the restaurant through service of the dishes.
* Committing to the best possible sustainable practices daily in terms of waste management and purchasing.
* Performing other duties as required or assigned, including working in a different department or restaurant than usually assigned.
