Job Summary
NHS Dumfries & Galloway invites applications for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist to join their friendly and supportive Adult SLT team. This role will work across acute (inpatient and outpatient) and community settings, including community hospitals, care homes and other domiciliary environments. You will gain valuable experience working with adults presenting with communication and/or swallowing disorders across a range of clinical specialties.

Development and Support
Based within the Therapies Department at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary (DGRI), shared sites include regular videofluoroscopy (VFSS) clinics and joint ENTSLT voice clinics. New graduates are encouraged to participate in the NHS Flying Start programme and will complete their SLT NQP preceptorship within their first year. Ongoing support is provided through clinical supervision, line management, team meetings for quality and operational updates, and a departmental clinical research review group.
Requirements
A current driving licence is an essential requirement for this post. Applicants unable to hold a licence due to a medical condition will be considered if suitable alternative transport arrangements can be made.
