Role Purpose
The HR Coordinator provides first line people support and coordination across the colleague lifecycle. This role acts as a central point of contact for colleagues delivering timely, accurate, and values led guidance while coordinating people processes end to end.
Working closely with the wider People Team, the HR Coordinator ensures that people activities, data, and compliance are well coordinated, consistently applied, and continuously improved. The role plays a key part in translating policy and process into clear, practical support for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
First Line People Support and Advice
* Act as the first point of contact for colleagues and managers on people related queries, providing clear, consistent, and pragmatic guidance within agreed frameworks.
* Resolve first line queries directly where appropriate and escalate more complex matters to the wider People Team, ensuring continuity and effective handover.
* Support the interpretation and application of People policies and processes, helping colleagues understand how these apply in practice.
People Process Coordination and Compliance
* Coordinate core people process across the colleague lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, role changes, and leavers.
* Manage and coordinate compliance activity, including right to work checks, references, and background screening, ensuring all requirements are met accurately and on time.
* Work closely with Payroll, Finance, and internal teams to ensure people data is coordinated and aligned across systems.
Onboarding and Offboarding Coordination
* Coordinate end to end onboarding activity, acting as the central point of contact to ensure contracts, systems access, IT, facilities, and compliance are in place ahead of start dates.
* Partner with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to deliver a smooth and professional onboarding experience.
* Coordinate offboarding activity where appropriate, ensuring colleagues are supported and all required actions, documentation, and records are completed accurately.
People Data, Systems, and Insight
* Maintain accurate and timely colleague data within HR systems, ensuring changes are reflected correctly and consistently.
* Carry out regular data checks and support improvements to data quality, reporting confidence, and system effectiveness.
* Support the production of people data and insights to inform decision making and people initiatives.
Projects, Engagement, and Continuous Improvement
* Support the coordination and delivery of People initiatives and projects, including engagement activity, system enhancements, and process improvements.
* Identify opportunities to improve how people processes are delivered, coordinated, and experienced by colleagues and managers.
* Champion Praxis values in all interactions, ensuring a consistent and people focused experience across the organisation.
Personal Specification
Essential
* Experience in an HR or People role with responsibility for coordinating people processes and providing first line support.
* A solid understanding of core HR processes across the colleague lifecycle.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
* Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office.
* Professional, discreet, and trusted when handling sensitive or confidential information.
* A proactive and solutions focused approach, with a clear sense of ownership and accountability.
Desirable
* Working towards, or already holding, a CIPD qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in a regulated or professional services environment.
* Exposure to multi-jurisdictional HR operations.
