Grounds Maintenance Operative
Residential Care Estate, Outskirts of Edinburgh

Duration: Minimum 10–12 weeks
Hours: 3 days per week
Job Description:
I am currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds Maintenance Operative to join my clients team on a part-time basis. This role is based on a well-maintained children’s residential care estate located on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
You will be responsible for carrying out a range of grounds maintenance duties to ensure the outdoor areas remain safe, tidy, and presentable for residents and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Grass cutting, strimming, and edging
2. Hedge trimming and pruning
3. General upkeep of landscaped areas
4. Leaf clearing and litter picking
5. Basic maintenance of tools and equipment
Requirements:
6. Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar role preferred
7. Full UK driving licence (essential)
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Good attention to detail and a proactive approach
10. Able to pass a PVG check
