Microbyte is looking for someone who thrives on making things run properly. Someone who gets genuine satisfaction from knowing that every project has been completed, closed out, and nothing has been left behind. The kind of person who notices what everyone else has moved on from, and makes sure it gets finished. The organisation has grown into an international service provider with a fantastic team of engineers delivering great work for our customers. Our projects are currently managed in-house by the engineering and leadership team alongside their core responsibilities. They’re great at delivery, but as we’ve grown, we’ve recognised that we need someone dedicated to the operational side of our projects function. Someone who protects the workflow, clears the path, and makes sure nothing falls through the cracks. Are you the kind of person who can’t rest until every box is ticked and every loose end is tied up? Do you have the confidence to chase people, hold them accountable, and keep things moving? Have you been looking for a role where you can own a process end-to-end? This is a unique role. You’ll own the operational lifecycle of our projects, from making sure the pipeline isn’t overloaded, to unblocking things when they get stuck, to driving the closedown process once delivery is complete. You’ll also be involved in project plans, making sure they’re realistic, resourced, and on track. Think of it as air traffic control. You don’t fly the planes, but nothing takes off or lands without you. At Microbyte, we pride ourselves on providing cutting-edge technologies with a fast-paced team of forward thinkers. If you see yourself being involved in an ever-growing MSP with friendly, collaborative offices based in the UK, UAE and US, then this could be the role you’re looking for. Duties and Responsibilities Own the project closure process, making sure every project is genuinely complete, not just delivered Be involved in project planning, ensuring plans are realistic, properly resourced and trackable Chase final sign-offs, invoicing, and documentation so nothing gets left behind Ensure accounts, access, and licences provisioned during projects are properly decommissioned Keep documentation and asset registers up to date as projects are completed Coordinate post-project reviews and make sure lessons learned are captured Monitor the project pipeline and flag capacity risks before they become problems Act as the first line of defence against projects being squeezed in without proper planning Escalate capacity concerns to senior leadership with clear, honest data Identify and resolve blockers that are stalling delivery. Chase decisions, resources, and dependencies Coordinate between engineers, account managers, and third parties to keep things moving Follow and enforce existing project processes and checklists. Hold the standard Provide clear visibility to leadership on what’s outstanding and what’s at risk Positive team player. Support the delivery team, reduce pressure, and keep things running smoothly Forward-thinking. Anticipate where things will get stuck and get ahead of it Required Experience / Skills Proven experience in a delivery operations, project coordination, or similar operational role Exceptionally organised with relentless attention to detail Confident chasing and challenging people at all levels Strong communicator. Clear, concise, and able to drive outcomes A process-driven mindset. You follow established procedures and hold others to them The ability to influence without authority. You get things done by being persistent, credible, and reliable Calm under pressure and comfortable in a fast-moving environment A working understanding of IT infrastructure concepts (networking, Microsoft 365, cloud services) is desirable but not essential Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or IT services company is a strong advantage For the right person, this is a genuinely rewarding role with real ownership and the opportunity to shape how Microbyte delivers as we continue to grow. Location This role is based in our Head Office in Peterborough and is a full time office role
