About the Role:
A leading UK infrastructure contractor is seeking to strengthen its team with a permanent Power BI Developer. The position can be based in various office locations across the UK, with a significant portion of the work expected to be completed remotely.
The successful candidate will join a business delivering major infrastructure improvement programmes and will play a key role in accelerating project-specific reporting processes, as well as developing and enhancing existing reporting systems.
In addition to possessing expert Power BI skills, the role requires proficiency in SQL Server development to build data structures that support resilient Power BI models and reports consumed across the organisation.
The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, capable of gathering requirements and translating them into actionable insights.
About the Candidate:
Essential:
1.
Solid Power BI development experience (including Power Query, DAX, and data modelling)
2.
Ability to design reporting system architecture by understanding data inputs and report outputs
3.
Strong understanding of visualisation best practices and report design principles
4.
Experience with SQL Server (preferably with Azure SQL environments)
5.
Advanced Excel skills
6.
High attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality
7.
Strong communication skills
Desirable:
8.
A degree in computer science, information technology, statistics, or a related discipline
9.
Experience with project controls or project management reporting
10.
Proficiency with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or other ETL tools, with experience building resilient data pipelines
11.
Familiarity with cost and scheduling software
