We’re working with a leading and rapidly expanding provider of student accommodation who are seeking a Client Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone progressing towards their CIMA or ACCA qualification who wants to develop their career in a commercial and fast-paced environment, gaining exposure to a large property portfolio and working closely with both clients and senior stakeholders.
The Role
You will play a key part in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and driving performance across a portfolio of student accommodation assets. Responsibilities include:
* Managing a portfolio of properties from a finance perspective, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements
* Preparing monthly and quarterly management packs, including full P&L forecasts, variance analysis and commentary
* Developing high-quality client reports and investment summaries to support decision-making
* Partnering with Operations and Commercial teams on annual budgets, strategy, and performance improvement
* Supporting audits, completing funding requests, and producing cashflow forecasts
* Working with site teams to provide financial support and guidance, ensuring processes run smoothly
* Assisting with onboarding and integration of new sites into the accounting system
* Producing financial models and analysis to aid strategic planning, including scenario analysis and forecasting
* Liaising with clients, senior managers and external stakeholders to respond to queries and provide insight
What we're looking for
* Proven analytical ability, with strong financial modelling experience
* Advanced Excel skills, including building models from scratch (P&L, scenario analysis, overhead reporting)
* Experience working with large data sets and producing accurate results under tight deadlines
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, able to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to problem-solving
* Strong team player, adaptable to changing requirements and confident working across multiple departments
* Previous experience within property, real estate, or multi-site operations would be advantageous but not essential
* Actively progressing towards CIMA / ACCA qualification is desirable
Why Apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing national organisation with ambitious plans for the future. You’ll gain exposure to a complex, multi-site business model, take ownership of client relationships, and be part of a collaborative team where career progression and development are fully supported.
If you are ready to take the next step in your finance career and thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, we would love to hear from you.
